Data Quality
Member CW9936 of the Citizen Weather Observer Program (CWOP).
The positioning and calibration of the weather station sensors has been carefully considered to maximize accuracy of the readings. We use CWOP to help make sure our data is accurate.
The following is data reported to CWOP for MesquiteWx.com (CW9936 in blue) with the predicted data based on surrounding stations (CW9936 Analysis in red). Also included is the reported data for the National Weather Service meteorological station at Mesquite Metro Airport (KHQZ in purple). Mesquite Metro Airport is the weather most often quoted by news and Internet sources for the Mesquite area. It is a mere 8.6 miles from MesquiteWx.com.
